This 40,000 sq. ft. data center in the heart of Silicon Valley adds industry leading high-power density, 2N-redundant, energy efficient space to our Cloud Connection Center portfolio.

By leveraging Digital Realty’s Metro Connect solution, customers at this interconnection, colocation and data center location can directly access the wide range of services provided by our customers located at the adjacent Digital Realty Santa Clara and San Francisco datacenter locations. The building, renovated in 2010, houses three 1,125 kW data rooms and is equal to a power density of 160 watts per raised square foot. This single-tenant data center is serviced by Silicon Valley Power and is located in the heart of Digital Realty’s Silicon Valley data center campus and is LEED Platinum certified.

Digital Realty acquired the facility in 2006 and is the leading colocation and interconnection service provider within the building.

The SCL1 data center facility provides access to dozens of the leading domestic and international carriers as well as to physical connection points for the world's telecommunications networks and backbones. The SCL1 data and colocation center is also interconnected to Digital Realty's other facilities SCL2 and SFR1 data centers for further ecosystem access and enablement.

Digital Realty's colocation data centers offer premier conditioned space, access control and state-of-the-art surveillance systems. SCL1 complies with or exceeds International Telecommunication Union (ITU) industry standards.
