Digital Realty’s 600 West 7th Street Facility Proud to be an LA Green Business

Aaron Binkley, Director, Sustainability
August 8, 2017

We are proud that Digital Realty’s data center facility located at 600 West 7th St. in Los Angeles has been recognized as an LA Green Business. This means that our facility satisfies various criteria, including general environmental policies, internal recycling, reducing waste, conserving energy & water, and reducing air emissions and chemical use. Over the recent years and months, we have taken many steps to make our business more sustainable across the board. By optimizing our use of natural resources, we believe we are doing the right thing for both our business and the planet.

The City of Los Angeles Green Business Program is a great way for the city to recognize businesses that have already taken steps to become more sustainable as well as encourage other businesses to do the same. LA’s green businesses range from complex enterprises like us to restaurants and coffee shops. To date, there are a total of 521 businesses recognized as LA green businesses.

Want to help contribute to the LA green business movement? Browse the list of current certified green businesses and decide to patronize a new establishment. Already a regular customer of a certified green business? Let them know you appreciate what they do either in person or on social media.
