Dublin ranks in the top 40 innovative cities across the globe
Dublin is currently ranked 39th among the world’s leading digital cities, behind London, Paris and Seoul who came in 6th, 9th and 12th place respectively.
The research also provides insight into which innovative data-based technologies will have a major impact worldwide in the next ten years, identifying four technologies are: artificial intelligence (AI), internet of things (IoT), Blockchain and 5G.
These four technologies contribute 1.23 billion euros a year to the Dublin economy, according to the study. At the rate at which society is digitising, this will amount to more than 6.37 billion euros in 2029.
